Ascot United earned a historic Emirates FA Cup first qualifying round replay on Sunday afternoon as Charlie Samuels hit a 73rd minute equaliser against Ryman Premier side Tonbridge Angels in a 2-2 draw.

Samuels had already given United – two divisions below the Angels a 17th minute minute lead before ex-Brentford striker Nathan Elder equalised 10 minutes later and Luke Allen put the Kent side ahead with a 61st minute penalty.

The main image above shows Samuels after scoring the equaliser to the absolute delight of his team mates but more drama was to follow when Luke Wilson was awarded a penalty in injury time.

Unfortunately for the Yellamen, Paul Coyne’s spot kick was saved by Angels goalkeeper Anthony Di Bernardo and both sides will meet again on Tuesday evening in Kent.
