There were 13 goals in the game between Whitegrove and Bracknell Forest in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League at the weekend while three of the four Senior Cup finalists were decided.

We’ve pulled out the highlights for your reading pleasure – if you have any pictures or video from the weekend please visit our contribute page or ‘@’ us on twitter @fibracknell. You can also have your say on the action in our comments section below.

Big scores

13 is this weeks magic number!

Several big scores this week but none as big as the 13 goals to hit the back of the net in Whitegrove’s 10-3 defeat of Division 1 rivals Bracknell Forest.

Alfie Sparrow (3), Justin Swyer (2), Lee Kilmartin (2), Shi Hussey (2) and Lee Blackman all scored for the greens while Ben Lawrence, Davey Blackmore and Matt Davis replied for Forest.

The result also – if facebook is to be believed – see’s the end of Josh Fuller’s reign as Forest manager following the defeat.

The weekends other bigs scores saw Golden Farmer Rangers beat bottom side Braybrooke Athletic 8-0 in the Premier Division and Binfield Royals beat Winnersh Town 8-1 in Division 2.

Cup concerns

We now know three of the four Sunday League Senior Cup semi-finalists with the shock of the day being last season’s runners-up Binfield CA going out to Division 1 bottom side AFC Crowthorne 4-3.

Binfield lost the final last season to Sunningdale & Wentworth but looked a good bet to challenge again after going unbeaten in their last four league games.

In the other two quarter finals, Finchampstead Sunday Athletic won 4-1 at Intercity FC and Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW advanced courtesy of the 3-2 win at Hurricanes.

The remaining quarter final between Morale Madrid and Crowthorne Inn is due to be played on Sunday 8th January. The semi final draw for the Senior Cup is here, and see the news about the venue for the finals here.

Clean sheets

A rarity in Sunday League so we celebrate the three from the weekend..

We’ve already mentioned Golden Farmer Rangers clean sheet, but FC Meta also got in on the act with a 5-0 win over Raglan in the Premier.

In Division 1 there was a 1-0 win for Finch Sunday Reserves over Sandhurst FFC and in Division 3 Bracknell Royals won 3-0 at home to Bracknell Titans.

Top of the league

It’s as you were at the top of the table in each division, but in Division 3 Silver Birch missed the opportunity to extend their lead at the top losing 2-1 at FC Harmans Water, while second placed Ashridge Park Under 21s missed the chance to go top with a 4-1 defeat at Woodley United Reserves.

And finally..

A third match in a row awarded to the opposition for Premier Division Super Reeves while Berkshire United followed up a superb 7-1 win at Winnersh Town last weekend in Division 2 with three points awarded to Bracknell Athletic for this weekends game.
