A big weekend of action in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League with 3M FC in a nine goal thriller, Finchampstead Athletic Sunday closing the gap at the top of the Premier and Woodley United Reserves muscling in on the promotion race.

We’ve pulled out the highlights for your reading pleasure – if you have any pictures or video from the weekend, or would like to send us a report from your game please visit our contribute page or ‘@’ us on twitter @fibracknell. Big scores

9 is this weeks magic number!

Could we be witnessing a great escape in the first division? 3M FC were involved in the highest scoring game of the weekend – but belying their bottom of the table status they were the big winners with a 5-4 victory over Sandhurst FFC.

The ‘cellotapes’ reduced the gap at the bottom to one point and will certainly go in to the weekends match against Bracknell Forest with renewed confidence following their second win of the season.

There was another nine goal tie in Division 3, though this one was more of a thrashing as Bracknell Falcons beat Finchampstead Athletic Sunday ‘A’ 8-1.

There were a couple of eight goal results to report as Binfield Royals beat Hope & Anchor 6-2 and Club 8 beat Winnersh Town 5-3 in Division 2

Top of the league

Finchampstead Athletic Sunday cut the lead at the top of the Premier Division to a point thanks to a 3-2 win at Binfield Club Athletic.

Finch have three games in hand over current leaders Cavaliers who were held to a 1-1 draw by Bracknell Celtic.

Division 3 looks like a promotion race to close to call with four sides on over 28 points having played a varying number of games.

Woodley United Reserves have the most games in hand and look good for a top two finish after they beat fourth place Silver Birch 2-1.

AFC Crowthorne Reserves might also have a say in proceedings but suffered a heavy 6-1 defeat at FC Harmans Water.

Clean sheets

A rarity in Sunday League so we celebrate the six from the weekend..

We feel like ringing a klaxon, there was a 0-0 at the weekend as Bracknell Titans held Division 3  leaders Ashridge Park under 21s to a scoreless draw.

We’ll need to delve deeper in to results, but that might be the first of the season..

In Division 1 there were clean sheets for Finch Athletic Sunday Reserves who beat AFC Crowthorne 1-0, Intercity FC who beat Hurricanes 3-0 and Ashridge Park who beat Whitegrove 1-0.

In Division 2 Bracknell Athletic won 3-0 at home to Bracknell Saint Germain and Warfield United won 4-0 at Newbold College.

And finally..

A week after stunning league leaders Bracknell Cavaliers with a 5-2 win, struggling Raglan failed to fulfil their fixture at FC Fernhill in the Premier Division.
