Wokingham & Emmbrook bounded in to the semi finals of the Reading Senior Cup with a convincing 3-1 win over holders Henley Town at The Triangle on Monday night.

The Sumas – managed by Jack Herridge in the abscence of Clive McNelly – went ahead through Matt Booth after a ball through from Ben Broadhurst but the visitors levelled things up following a period of good play.

Booth though scored his second before the break giving Wokingham a 2-1 half time lead and the advantage going in to the second half.

It was one they made the most of as well, an own goal seeing them go 3-1 up while any hope Henley had of a fightback ended when they were reduced to 10 men.

The win means Wokingham head in to the semi-finals at home to Hellenic Premier side Bracknell Town, while either Finchampstead or Woodcote Stoke Row will face Binfield.
