It was all to easy for Binfield in their penultimate Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division tie of the season beating bottom side Henley Town 9-0 at Hill Farm Lane.

There were four goals for Liam Ferdinand – earning him a second entry in our ‘Most Goals in a Game’ table while Brad Pagliaroli and Jake White scored twice each and James Knight also got on the scoresheet.

The result does nothing for what looks like almost certain relegation for Henley, but they’ll still have a say in the outcome of the title race with Thame United needing to overturn Bracknell Town’s 7+ goal difference when they visit the Triangle next week.

Neil Richards is still looking for his first league win in charge of Ascot United after they went to Tuffley Rovers and lost 1-0 while you can read about Bracknell Town’s trip to Brimscombe & Thrupp here.

In Division 1 East it is fair to say Woodley United will be in the Premier Division next season assuming all the off the pitch negotiations around the ground are successful.

Michael Herbert’s side won 5-0 at bottom side Wantage Town Reserves thanks to a Charlie Oakley hat trick and goals from Danny Horscroft and Greg Beckett who also missed a penalty.

Wokingham & Emmbrook inflicted only the second defeat of the season on champions and champions elect Penn & Tylers Green at Lowther Road.

Clive McNelly’s men scored through Jack Gibbs and had Sean Woodward to thank for saving a second half penalty.

And finally, there will be no Reading Senior Cup semi final for Finchampstead after they were beaten 2-1 by Woodcote Stoke Row. The Thames Valley Premier Division side will play Binfield in the last four with Wokingham & Emmbrook vs Bracknell Town the other tie.
