Barry Hayles scores as Windsor FC advance in County Cup but Binfield FC crash out

It was a tough night in the Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Cup for Binfield who suffered a 5-0 defeat at the hands of league rivals Flackwell Heath in the First Round on Tuesday.

Liam Tack and Thomas Gant gave the Heathens a 2-0 half time lead and Gant sealed his hat trick in the second half with substitute Dean Allen also getting on the score sheet.

In the other cup tie relevant to FootballinBracknell sides, Windsor beat Southern League Chalfont St Peter 3-2 with former Fulham striker Barry Hayles getting on the score sheet.

Hayles scored Windsor’s third of the night with Hayden Clack and Nadir Shafi also registering.

County Cup First Round Results so far:

  • Highmoor Ibis 2-2 Newport Pagnell Town (NPT win 4-3 on penalties)
  • Wantage Town 3-2 Burnham
  • Flackwell Heath 5-0 Binfield
  • Chalfont St Peter 2-3 Windsor
  • Beaconsfield Town 1-0 Aylesbury United
  • Didcot Town 4-1 Holmer Green

Still to play – Bracknell Town vs Aylesbury and Woodley United vs Abingdon United.

The draw for the Second Round of the County Senior Cup will be drawn at midday on Wednesday 20th September.
