Looking at the form of Saturday’s FA Vase Second Qualifying Round opponents, it wasn’t unreasonable to expect that all three East Berkshire sides would join Bracknell Town in the First Round proper.

Windsor certainly made short work of their opponents at Stag Meadow, defeating Wessex League Whitchurch United 8-0 with five different goalscorers.

Andy Ingram (2), Nadir Shafi (2), Ricardo Cannon (2), Kieran Knight and Jack Denton all scored for the Royalists who go in to the First Round Draw.

Elsewhere there was delight for Sandhurst Town who secured a place in the First Round thanks to a 2-1 win over Ringwood Town and two goals from Charlie Oakley.

The Fizzers celebrated their victory with a post match fish and chip supper in the club house.

Disappointment for Binfield though who are out after a 4-2 defeat at Wessex League strugglers Fareham Town. The Moles Alex Colverd missed a 1st minute penalty and the home side took full advantage with a 2-0 half time lead.

After the break Fareham quickly made it 3-0 after manager Roger Herridge had rung the changes with a triple substitution including youngster Owen Powell and a fightback appeared on when Colverd reduced arrears before Brad Pagliaroli scored from the penalty spot.

Hopes were dashed though when Fareham capitalised on poor defending to make it 4-2.
