Bracknell Town’s unbeaten start to the 2017/18 Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division season was ended by former Robin Shane Cooper-Clark on Saturday as Thatcham Town ran out 3-0 winners.
The Robins were 2-0 down at the break after Cooper-Clark and Josh Helmore goals and any Bracknell fans expecting a comeback similar to last seasons 4-2 win at Bottom Meadow were dashed when Cooper-Clark made it 3-0 on the hour.
Bracknell gave a debut to former Fleet Town and Camberley Town defender Carl Garstang on Saturday but were missing several key players including Jamie McClurg while worryingly right back Dave Hancock hobbled off with what appeared to be an ankle injury.
We’ve highlight the dates for all the matches between the current top four in the Hellenic Premier Division here.
Elsewhere in the Premier there was certainly value for money in term of goals with Ascot United throwing away a three goal lead to draw 4-4 at bottom side Fairford Town.
Rob Lazarczuk (2), Samir Regragui and James Goodey gave the Yellamen a 4-1 lead but the home side clawed their way back to earn a fourth point of the season and leap frog their visitors in the table.
First half goals from Dwayne Coultress and Sanchez Commock helped Highmoor Ibis on their way to a 3-1 win at Brimscombe & Thrupp – the third scorer is not yet available on twitter or full time while in Division 1 East an 83rd minute Liam Tackley equaliser gave AFC Aldermaston a point at home to league leaders Virginia Water – Lorenzo Tommaso Di Felice got the goal for the visitors.
And finally, Sam Lawrence and Josh Pearson helped Wokingham & Emmbrook come from behind to beat Milton United 2-1 at Lowther Road.
