Six Bracknell Sunday League teams progressed to the 3rd Round of the Berks & Bucks Sunday Junior Cup. The tie between Loveman United and Winkfield, both of Division 1 saw Loveman edge a 7-goal thriller with a 4-3 win. Leading 3-0 through goals by Ben Poynter, Chris Mitchell and an own goal, Winkfield stormed back to level it at 3-3. With time slipping away and the tie heading to extra-time, Poynter got his second, and the winner, with a free-kick.
AFC Crowthorne of Division 1 progressed with an emphatic win against Braybrooke Athletic (Division 2) by 5-1 whilst Warfield United, top of Division 2, also won by 5-1 against fellow Division 2 side Bracknell Saint Germain. Other teams to progress were Newbold College, Sandhurst FFC and Binfield Royals.
Crowthorne Inn maintained top spot in the Premier Division with a 4-2 win away at Morale Madrid. William Twigg Vets stay 2nd with a 6-1 win away at promoted Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW whilst FC Meta stay 3rd , beating Bracknell Cavaliers 3-1. Finchampstead Athletic moved ominously into 4th place with a 6-2 win away at Intercity whilst Golden Farmer Rangers were the other winners in the Division, beating FC Fernhill 4-3.
Raglan confirmed themselves favourites to win Division 1 and bounce straight back into the Premier following relegation from the top Division last season by beating leaders WAB, unbeaten in the league before today, by 6-3. Despite this defeat WAB stay top, clear of Raglan, who moved into 2nd position, by 3 points.
In Division 2 Woodley United missed the opportunity to close the gap on the top 2 losing 2-5 at home to AFC Crowthorne Reserves.
Woodley Saints moved 3 points clear at top of Division 3 and maintained their 100% league record with a 1-2 away win against Winnersh Town. Despite not playing, Bracknell Corinthians remain 2nd whilst WAB Reserves stay 3rd with a 5-0 win at home to Berkshire United. The fixture between Winnersh Rangers and Bearwood Wanderers saw 8 goals with the Winnersh team winners by 5-3. The remaining game in the division saw Hope & Anchor beat Bracknell Falcons 3-2.
Crownwood Dukes remain top of Division 4 courtesy of a 3-5 win away at Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves. Bracknell Royals stay 2nd after thrashing Finchampstead Athletic A 8-1 and Silver Birch A lie 3rd on goal difference from Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves after defeating new team Whitegrove Pythons 2-0 and there was a first win of the season for Bracknell Titans who beat FC Harmanswater 2-1.
