Take a bow FC Fernhill and Loveman United as both made progress in the County Cup this weekend. Fernhill comfortably beat Cottage Inn to progress to round 4 of the Berks & Bucks Sunday Intermediate Cup whilst Loveman defeated Warfield United 4-1 in the all-Bracknell tie to go into the hat for round 5 (last 16) of the Berks & Bucks Sunday Junior Cup.. Loveman’s goal scorers were Ben Poynter (2), Jack Gale and Levi Tippett. Wokingham & Emmbrook, William Twigg (Intermediate Cup) and Raglan (Junior Cup) will have to wait until the new year to play their ties, postponed again today.

The one fixture played in the Premier Division finished all-square as Bracknell Cavaliers and FC Meta drew 1-1.

Woodley United went top of Division 2 without kicking a ball. Their fixture with Newbold College was awarded to them presumably as the opposition were unable to field a team. Elsewhere in the division Ashridge Park Royals Reserves thrashed a faltering Bracknell Athletic 7-2 .

Woodley Saints lost their unbeaten league record in Division 3 losing to Winnersh Rangers 2-1 and, in doing so, ;lost the opportunity of displacing WAB Reserves from top spot. Bracknell Corinthians remain in touching distance of the leading pack with a 2-1 win away to Bracknell Falcons whilst Silver Birch look to make a charge up the division following their 2-0 win against Bearwood Wanderers.

The top two in Division 4 both lost with Silver Birch A going down 1-2 to Crownwood Dukes whilst Bracknell Royals lost out 2-4 to FC Harmanswater. That gave Finchampstead Athletic A the chance to close up which they did with a 4-2 win against Whitegrove Pythons. Birch remain top with 24 points, Royals 2nd with 21 points and Finch 3rd also with 21 points. Birch have played one more game than both Royals and Finch. Concluding the division’s fixtures this weekend Bracknell Titans won only their second game of the season by 4-2 against Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves.

As the League takes a break now for Christmas all at Football in Bracknell would like to wish all associated with the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League a very merry Christmas. See you all again in 2018!!
