The Hellenic Premier Division’s top three all won in the first round of festive fixtures – which you can see in full here – with Bracknell Town seeing off Brimscombe & Thrupp with a 2-0 win at Larges Lane.

Two goals from TJ Bohane, one in each half was enough for the Robins who extended their record of clean sheets to four straight games and fifth in a row in Premier Division games.

There was a momentous moment for Binfield striker Ian Davies netted his 150th goal for Binfield and the winner as the Moles let a 2-0 lead slip at home to Fairford Town before Davies scored with 15 minutes remaining. Josh Howell and Will Shaw both scored for Binfield in the first half before Fairford levelled up in the second.

Elsewhere Ascot United were beaten 3-0 at leaders Highworth Town while Woodley United lost 4-0 at home to Oxford City Nomads and Barry Hayles hit a double for Windsor as they beat Brackley Town Saints 4-2 at Stag Meadow. Keiran Knight and Jack Denton got the other goals for Windsor.

In Division 1 East it was a happy Christmas for Wokingham & Emmbrook who beat league leaders Bicester Town 4-2. Captain Sam Lawrence hit a hat trick and an own goal saw the Sumas extend their unbeaten run to three games while the club said goodbye to stalwart defender James Charlton who is moving to America.

There was more joy for AFC Aldermaston who came from behind to beat Chalfont Wasps 2-1. Callum Eaton levelled up for the Atom Men while new signing Luke Blakeborough scored at both ends and Sandhurst Town were beaten 2-0 at Holyport.
