It wasn’t all plain sailing for Bracknell Town in their FA Vase fourth round replay on Tuesday night after a dominant first half at Larges Lane against Blackfield & Langley.
The two sides had played out a 3-3 draw on Saturday on the the South Coast with the Robins coming from behind three times over the 120 minutes but it was the visitors who looked leggy and allowed Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty’s side a 2-0 half time lead.
In short it was nothing more than Bracknell deserved, their forward pace and restored strike partnership of TJ Bohane and Adam Cornell looking dangerous – and it was Bohane who opened the scoring from Seb Bowerman’s cross.

Joe Grant, full of running all night along with midfield general Jamie McClurg created the second, latching on to a through ball he was bundled over in the box – and well, Bowerman doesn’t miss from 12 yards does he?
Blackfield responded after the break but it was Bracknell again who went closest. Justin Clayton, Joe Grant and Adam Cornell seeing chances go agonisingly by but with 10 remaining, the visitors had a lifeline when Chris Grace bundled over the Blackfield forward in the penalty box and the spot kick was duly despatched.
From last night, that @adam_cornell penalty and @BowermanSeb spot kick if you can get past the awful attempt at punditry. @BracknellTownFC pic.twitter.com/rhWjttoV4a

Bracknell held on though for a historic win, earning a first fifth round appearance in the Vase since the 1982/83 season when they were beaten at Great Yarmouth Town. Coleshill Town or Newcastle Benfield are up next – their replay is on Saturday.
