It was a case of ‘job done’ for Bracknell Town on Saturday as they beat the Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division’s bottom side Burnham 2-0 at the weekend.

The Robins were desperate to get a competitive fixture in having only played once since the 4-2 FA Vase win at Coleshill Town on 3rd February, with the big quarter final home tie looming on Saturday.

It took a 66th minute own goal to give Bracknell the lead and TJ Bohane settled things 10 minutes later, just before he was replaced by Max Herbert while striker partner Adam Cornell was substituted five minutes earlier – undoubtedly with Saturday in mind.

Fellow Vase Quarter Finalists Windsor were unfortunate only to leave Waterside Park with a point following a 2-2 draw with Thatcham Town.

Riccardo Cannon had given the Stag Meadow side a 29 minute lead while Bab Jarra levelled things up two minutes later. Kieran Knight then put Windsor back in front on the hour only for Shane Cooper-Clark to make it 2-2 on 63 minutes.

Talking of fantastic results, Binfield re-took 6th place in the division with a 3-1 win at Flackwell Heath. The Moles have a good record at Wilks Park after winning 3-0 last season and Sean Moore’s 13 minute double in the second half sent Roger Herridge’s side on their way.

Centre back Gary Smith made certain of the points with a third on 76 minutes with the Moles holding on despite a late consolation for the home side.

In Division 1 East Wokingham & Emmbrook suffered a blow to their top four aspirations with a 2-0 defeat at struggling Chinnor. The Sumas are fifth with 32 points but have played more games than the majority of sides above them.

There were goals at Bottom Meadow as promised but unfortunately for AFC Aldermaston, all three went to Sandhurst Town with the Division’s top scorer adding two more to his seasons tally and Richard Hughes firing the third.
