Crowthorne Inn maintained their slender one-point lead at the top of the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Premier Division with a 3-1 win against a struggling Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW, still to register a league point this campaign. Finchampstead Athletic kept up the pressure in second place with a 5-1 victory away to Morale Madrid. The fixture between William Twigg Vets and FC Meta was postponed.
In Division 1 both Loveman United (2nd) and Raglan (3rd) won their games to close the gap to 13 points on leaders WAB who didn’t play. An Alfie Sparrow hat-trick and an own goal gave Loveman a 4-2 win against a hard-working Winkfield team whilst Raglan battled-out a 3-2 win against Berkshire All Stars. Elsewhere, bottom team Sandhurst FFC halted Finchampstead Athletic Reserves’ charge up the table with a 3-1 win.
Unbeaten Warfield United moved back to the top of Division 2 following their 2-0 home win against Newbold College. Woodley United’s drop to 2nd following the postponement of their fixture with AFC Crowthorne Reserves. Third placed Athletico Ascot’s game with Berks County was also postponed. Elsewhere Braybrooke Athletic moved off the bottom with a 3-2 victory against Bracknell Saint Germain.
Just the one game was played in Division 3 that saw an 11-goal thriller between Winnersh Town and Hope and Anchor, Town winning by 8-3. Woodley Saints remain top on 29 points with WAB Reserves 2nd level on points but have an inferior goal difference.
It’s all change at the top of Division 4 as Bracknell Royals moved back to the top following their 1-0 win against Whitegrove Pythons. Silver Birch A lost ground following their 3-6 defeat to Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves whilst Crownwood Dukes kept their hopes of a title challenge with an emphatic 5-0 win away to Bracknell Titans.
