Bracknell Town have their first win under player manager Carl Davies after the Robins left it late in Northamptonshire.

The Robins finally broke Brackley Town Saints resolve late in the second half to win 2-0 thanks to an overhead kick from Joe Grant and a second goal from Seb Bowerman.

The win has been a long time coming for Davies after his appointment in the wake of the departure of Jeff Lamb and Paul McGrotty.

It’s been around 25 days since the Robins last league fixture and they now have 12 more matches with which to earn one of the two promotion spots on offer this season.

Bracknell – who were held to a goalless draw at half time thanks in no small part to the performance of the home sides goalkeeper started with Jon Bennett and Adam Cornell up front but it was the Robins wingers who stole the show in the end.
