Crowthorne Inn made a huge statement at the top of the Division by defeating Golden Farmer Rangers by a resounding 9-0 while Woodley United won the big division 2 battle.

Premier Division

After Crowthorne’s win, FC Fernhill came out on top in the day’s other big game beating Finchampstead Athletic by 3-0. Inn’s goal scoring feat was bettered by FC Meta who bashed William Twigg Vets by 10-1. Today’s results see Crowthorne Inn stretch their lead at the top to 4 points ahead of 2nd placed Finch.

FC Meta moved into 3rd place following their big win and Twigg slip to 4th. The huge question is, have FC Fernhill left themselves too much to do to catch Crowthorne at the top. They have games in hand in their favour, 5 in fact, but trail Inn by a massive 13 points. The only other game played in the Division saw Morale Madrid confine Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW to their 11th straight league defeat of the season, by 6-2.

Thursday evening will provide Fernhill with the opportunity to start to close the gap and continue their charge up the table as they travel to play William Twigg Vets.

Division 1

WAB’s lead at the top of the Division was cut to a mere 3 points as Raglan completed a league-double over Loveman United within a matter of a few days with another 3-2 victory to keep their unbeaten league season intact.

Raglan still have 2 games in hand over WAB. Elsewhere, Sandhurst FFC defeated Ashridge Park by 3-0 and Berkshire All Stars were awarded a walkover win against Hurricanes.

This Thursday sees both top teams in action as WAB travel to play Finchampstead Athletic Reserves whilst Raglan play Winkfield.

Division 2

Woodley United won the battle of the top two by defeating Warfield United 1-0 to end Warfield’s unbeaten league record. That win moves Woodley to 2 points clear of Athletico Ascot, who displaced Warfield in 2nd place, following their 4-1 win against AFC Crowthorne Reserves.

Warfield will have the chance to make amends for their first league defeat of the season as they play Bracknell Athletic on Thursday evening. AFC Crowthorne Reserves and Berks County play each other twice during the coming week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Division 3

Woodley Saints moved 8 points clear at the top following their 4-1 win against Bracknell Falcons ahead of 2nd placed Bracknell Corinthians, whose game against Bearwood was postponed.

Corinthians have a game in hand. The only other game played saw Silver Birch move into 3rd place following their defeat of WAB Reserves whose form in recent weeks seems to have taken a dip and have slipped to 5th.

Thursday evening sees a mouth-watering fixture between Silver Birch and Woodley Saints. A win for Birch will put them into the mix for the title following their charge up the table whilst a win for Saints will put them firmly in the box seat.

Division 4

Third placed Bracknell Royals were held to a 3-3 draw against Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves and lost the chance to put some real pressure on the top 2 of

Finchampstead Athletic A and Silver Birch A. Two wins from their 3 remaining games will assure Silver Birch A of the title.
