If, like Football in Bracknell you were watching today’s scores from the Bostik League, Hellenic League and Combined Counties League come in through twitter then it was quite a rollercoaster.

We’ll start with Windsor who were 3-0 down at half time in the Hellenic League Premier Division at home to a TJ Bohane-less Royal Wootton Bassett Town – a score you’d think Bassett would have seen out.

A quick-fire double from Ashley Smith and Javeen Panesar on 62 and 63 minutes though turned the game on it’s head and when Smith scored again to level things up you might have thought a point fair. However with six minutes remaining Malachi Thomas popped up with the winner for Windsor.

Elsewhere there was a late goal at Binfield where Ian Davies scored in injury time to give the Moles a 1-0 win over Holmer Green while Ascot United blew away Lydney Town with 4-1 win at the Racecourse. Debutant Harry Laflin and a Nathan Minhas hat trick did the damage for the Yellamen.

Reading City maintained their 100% start to the league season with a 3-1 win over Fairford Town at Scours Lane. City’s goals were an Alfie Grant opener and a double from Mitchell Parker while Virginia Water won their first game as a step 5 side beating Abingdon United with goals from Adam McNamara and Josh Hill.

Liam Ferdinand picked up where he left off last weekend in the Bostik League, scoring both goals for Bracknell Town as they beat Molesey 2-1 in Surrey – new signing Harrison Bayley made his debut – and in the Hellenic League Division 1 East AFC Aldermaston’s Zach Tull scored the winner as the Atom Men beat Wokingham & Emmbrook 2-1 at Larges Lane, Will Day got the Sumas goal.

Tough afternoons for our two Combined Counties League Division 1 sides, Sandhurst Town were beaten 5-0 at Bedfont & Feltham while Eversley & California were beaten 3-2 by Frimley Green. Jamie McCarthy levelled the homes sides opener but Frimley led 3-1 at half time before Mo Davies pulled one back for the Boars. Here’s the full results:
