Ascot United striker now has a hat trick of hat tricks in just six games of his fledgling Yellamen career.

Minhas hit all three goals on Tuesday night as Jamie Tompkins side beat Ardley United 3-2 – the third time he has done so this season and added to his tally of 12 goals in 6 games.

Ardley were a goal up after quarter of an hour but Minhas hit back for Ascot on 20 minutes. The home side took the lead again after the break but Minhas levelled things up on 75 minutes scored the winner from the penalty spot.

Post match, manager Tompkins tweeted: “Huge praise for our squad yet again for showing a great amount of desire and determination to secure the points. Adding to the positive start our U23s and U18s have had in their league games this week. Progression is key and we as a club are moving in the right direction!”

Elsewhere Windsor beat Shrivenham for the second time this season, winning 3-1 at Barrington Park thanks to goals from Javeen Panesar, Malachi Thomas and Dan Roberts while Virginia Water went down 3-1 at home to Flackwell Heath.

Across in the Combined Counties League Division 1 there was a first win of the season for Sandhurst Town who beat fancied Farnham Town and former boss Luke Turkington 2-1. Ashley Ledger and Paul Rake got the goals for the Fizzers while captain Harry Oakley’s first start in seven months ended prematurely with a red card on the hour for two bookable offences.

Oakley tweeted: “Well, made my first start in over 7 months after suffering this MCL tear and absolutely loved being back out there….for 60 mins before getting 2 yellows and subsequently sent off. Thankfully the lads dug in and got the 3 points.”

In the Velocity Trophy Preliminary Round Bracknell Town beat Kingstonian 5-4 on penalties. The Robins were led by Joe Gater and Adam Cornell hit a hat trick as the game finished 3-3 in normal time. Here’s the full results from Tuesday night.
