Bracknell Town sealed a penalty shoot out win over Kingstonian in the Velocity Trophy Preliminary Round on Tuesday night after a 3-3 draw in normal time.

It was a night of goals with Adam Cornell sealing a hat trick for Bracknell with the K’s forced to fight back on each occasion, and with no extra time the match went straight to penalties.

Player manager Carl Davies missed Bracknell’s opening penalty but Seb Bowerman fired his home and Robins goalkeeper Mark Scott saved Kingstonian’s third penalty.

Joe Grant converted Bracknell’s fourth to send the game in to sudden death with Kane Fitzgerald hitting the winning spot kick after Scott had saved the K’s. You can read a Kingstonian version of events here.
