Loveman United extend Bracknell Sunday League winning run, Silver Birch net 15 goals

Silver Birch A and Moore Close Manor made progress in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup with wins against fellow Bracknell Sunday League sides 3M and Woodley United respectively.

In the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Premier Division, FC Fernhill made it two wins out of two with a 2-0 win away to FC Meta. On the score sheet for Fernhill were Ryan Rose and Lewis Burns. In the only other game played in the division, Athletico Forest and Finchampstead Athletic shared the points following a 3-3 draw.

Crowthorne Inn progressed in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup with a 3-2 win against Reading-based Purley. Leading 2-0 at half-time the visitors made it a nervy second half for Inn by drawing level at 2-2, securing victory with an injury-time winner from the penalty spot. The reward for this win is a home draw against Real Milan in the 2nd round to be played on Sunday 7th October.

Loveman United maintained their winning start to the season in Division 1, making it three from 3, with a hard-fought 3-0 win away to Berks County. All three goals, by Ryan Millward, Alfie Sparrow and Richard Ayres, were scored in the second half. The other two games finished 6-0 to AFC Crowthorne Reserves against Crowthorne FC whilst Athletico Ascot and Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW battled out a 3-3 draw.

Woodley Saints stay top of Division 2 following a 5-2 win against Bracknell Corinthians whilst Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves moved into 2nd place following their 4-2 away win at Ashridge Park. On the mark for Rangers were Ben Lawrence (3) and Nick Russell.

Bearwood Wanderers maintained their winning start to the season in Division 3 with a 6-4 win against Winnersh Town whilst Braybrooke Athletic made it 2 wins from 2 with a resounding victory against Finchampstead Athletic A by 8-1. Bearwood top the early-season table, with Braybrooke 2nd and Bracknell Saint Germain occupy 3rd spot following their 0-0 draw with Hope & Anchor.

Silver Birch of Division 4 registered the highest score of the day with a 15-0 win away to Bracknell Titans. Other winners in the division today were Crownwood Dukes (3-0 against AFC Crowthorne Old Boys) whilst the other game, between FC Harmanswater and Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves, finished 1-1.
