Earlier this week, Football in Bracknell highlighted three games in the Bostik League South Central Division 1 that would affect table toppers Bracknell Town.

Those fixtures were between the teams in 6th and 8th, 4th and 5th and 2nd and 7th. The big game to watch in those three fixtures was the one between previously unbeaten Marlow and Uxbridge.

In a tight affair at the Alfred Davies Memorial Ground it was an 85th minute winner from Chid Onokwai that gave Marlow the points and means the blues along with Bracknell are the only two sides in the division yet to taste defeat.

There are Bracknell connections at both sides with Marlow managed by former Robin Mark Bartley while former youth team player Leslie Sackey was an unused substitute. At Uxbridge it’s goalkeeper Paul McCarthy who provides the link haveing had two spells at Larges Lane.

In the other games, second placed Waltham Abbey beat Hanwell Town 3-2 and Hayes & Yeading United put six past Northwood without reply in a 6-0 win.

Bracknell of course are without a game until the 6th October when they host Bedfont Sports at Larges Lane. The latest Bostik League South Central Division 1 table and fixtures is here.

Tuesday night’s Bostik League South Central results

  • Hayes & Yeading United 6-0 Northwood
