Jean-Claude Etienne sent Ascot United on their way to a 4-2 win over Windsor at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday, scoring twice in third and fifth minutes.

It was an intense opening 10 minutes in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division fixture as Windsor pulled one back through George Gould on seven minutes.

The divisions top scorer Nathan Minhas restored the lead for the Yellamen just after the break and scored his second in the 89th minute after Victor Ocansey had netted for Windsor.

Rob Mack has compiled some of the highlights from the match here:

Elsewhere Reading City gave title chasing Wantage Town a fright at Alfredian Park. Ben Cook and Ousman Darboe gave City a 2-1 half time lead but the home side were able to fight back in the second half and take a 4-2 win while Virginia Water were held to a 1-1 draw by Brimscombe & Thrupp late on, Lorenzo Di Felice with the goal.

On Friday night Binfield, who confirmed striker Sean Moore had joined Bracknell Town permanently, were beaten 2-1 by Flackwell Heath.

Ian Davies gave the Moles an early lead but Jack Taylor on 68 minutes and Tyler Gregory on 84 minutes gave the points to Marcus Richardson’s side.

Bostik League

Talking of Bracknell, the Robins were held to a draw by Tooting & Mitcham United in the Bostik League South Central Division 1.

Bracknell lead through Joe Grant and a Seb Bowerman penalty in the first half but Eddie Dines and Hady Chandour netted for the home side in the second half. Substitute Sean Moore did have the ball in the back of the net with five minutes to go but the strike was ruled out for offside.
