Lead changes at the top of Bracknell Sunday League Premier and First division’s

Congratulations to Woodley Saints who won through to the quarter final of the Berks & Bucks Junior Trophy by 3-2 against Shinfield Park United, a brace from Jamie Burnett helping them on the way. Bearwood Wanderers also made progress with a 7-4 victory in the 3rd round against Sandhurst Sports Club.

Crowthorne Inn hit the top of the Premier Division despite dropping points following a 4-4 draw with Athletico Forest. FC Fernhill, who played out the whole of 2018 without league defeat, moved into second position after beating Raglan 3-0. The other game played saw Finchampstead Athletic and WAB battle out a 5-5 draw, WAB’s goals scored by McManus 2, Noyes 2 and Whylie.

Loveman United moved top of Division 1 after a 4-1 away to Panthers Reserves through goals by Lee Blackman, Ryan Milward, Ed Jackson-Sankey and Ben Poynter. Elsewhere Bracknell Atrhletic moved into 6th with a 3-2 win at Athletico Ascot whilst Berks County lost ground on the leading pack going down 0-2 at home to Winkfield.

There was no change at the top of Division 2 as none of the top 3 played. Teams positioned 4 and 5, Ashridge Park Royals and Silver Birch Dynamoes both won, beating Winnersh Rangers (2-1) and Ashridge Park (3-2) respectively.

Bracknell Cavaliers lost the chance to close up on top team Bearwood Wanderers in Division 3 going down to a shock 2-0 defeat against Bracknell Royals. Braybrooke Athletic maintained their own challenge for the title with a resounding 6-2 win against Running Horse.

Crownwood Dukes remain top of Division 4 without kicking a ball after FC Harmanswater lost out on the opportunity to go top by losing out to Bracknell Cavaliers by 3-4.
