It looked like it wasn’t going to be the Berks & Bucks FA youth sides day when Brad Farren’s penalty was saved at 1-0 down and Cumberland went on to make it 2-0 before half time in the FA County Youth Cup tie on Sunday.

Brendon Box-Gill and Henry Walker were the early scorers for the visitors to Arbour Park and the home side had another goal ruled out by the assistants flag.

On the half hour though Maidenhead United’s Ben Mulley (pictured above) pulled one back for Berks & Bucks who are managed by Ascot United assistant boss Aaron Steadman.

There were clearly opportunities for Steadman’s side in the first half but it would have been difficult to predict the full time score finishing at 7-2 to the home side.

Brad Farren (also Maidenhead) made up for his earlier penalty miss with an equaliser shortly after kick off and Ascot United’s James Richardson made it 3-2.

Farren and Richardson both scored again to make it 5-2 and Harrison Cliff and Wokingham & Emmbrook’s Connor Holland finished things off.
