Loveman United re-take top spot in Bracknell Sunday League Division 1

Finchampstead Athletic won the day’s top game in the Premier Division, beating Crowthorne Inn by 3-2 and in doing so displaced Inn for 2nd position.

FC Fernhill, who won their Aldershot Cup 2nd round tie by 5-2 against Chobham & Burymead, stay top.

Elsewhere today, WAB beat Athletico Forest 3-1, skipper Alex Badshsah on the scoresheet for WAB, whilst a Mickey Johnson goal secured FC Meta a 1-0 win away at Morale Madrid.

Loveman United moved top of Division 1 with an impressive 3-0 win against Finchampstead Athletic Reserves, leaders at the start of the day.

Scorers for Loveman were Ben Poynter, Ryan Millward and Ed Jackson-Sankey. Third placed Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW slipped up losing 2-4 at home to Athletico Ascot.

Elsewhere there were wins for Panthers Reserves and Bracknell Athletic and the Crowthorne “derby” between Crowthorne Old Boys and AFC Crowthorne Stiffs finished all square at 1-1.

It’s no change at the top of Division 2 with all four at the top drawing. The top two of Sandhurst FFC and Moore Close Manor shared the points following a 1-1 draw whilst it was the same scoreline in the game between Golden Farmer Rangers Reserves and Ashridge Park Royals.

Bracknell Cavaliers moved level on points at the top of Division 3 with Bearwood Wanderers following their 4-0 defeat of Bracknell Saint Germain whilst Braybrooke Athletic closed to within a point of the leaders following their resounding 8-1 win against Bracknell Royals.

Athletic’s goal-scorers were Neil Blewitt (4), Troy Whelan (2), Ewan Joyce and Connor Clarke. Bearwood Wanderers, whose game against Silver Birch A was abandoned halfway through, stay top on goal difference and have played 2 games less than their closest challengers.

The day’s highest scoring game was played out in this division between Hope & Anchor and Finchampstead Athletic A, that finished 7-5.

Division 4 leaders Crownwood Dukes have not had the best start to the year. After losing out by the odd goal in an 11-goal thriller last weekend to Silver Birch, the long-time leaders were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Bracknell Athletic Reserves today.

FC Harmanswater moved level on points with Dukes following their 4-1 defeat of Bracknell Titans. Dukes remain top with a far superior goal difference and have played 2 games less than Harmanswater.
