Bracknell Town moved back up to second and closed the gap on leaders Hayes & Yeading United in the Bostik League South Central on Saturday.

The Robins won 4-0 at home to struggling Molesey at Larges Lane thanks to an Adam Cornell double and strikes from Joe Grant as well as on loan James Cowan.

If that win wasn’t so much of a surprise, results elsewhere in the division were as Marlow were held 1-1 at home by play off chasing Tooting & Mitcham United while Hayes were held by same scoreline at rock bottom Egham Town.

Fellow play off sides Westfield drew 1-1 at Ware while Cheshunt beat Waltham Abbey 2-1.

In the Vanarama National League Maidenhead United eased their relegation fears with a 1-0 win at promotion chasing Leyton Orient thanks to an Adrian Clifton goal while in the South Division Slough Town drew 2-2 with Dartford and Hungerford Town were beaten 3-1 at Chippenham Tow.

Finishing things off at step 5, Dan Roberts hit a hat-trick as Windsor beat struggling Abingdon United 5-1. The other goals coming courtesy of George Gould and Paul Coyne.

A couple of good results locally in Division One East though – and Rob Davies will be here with the round up later, but Holyport beat league leaders Burnham 2-1 at Summerleaze through Steven Deverall and Fabian Driffill while Wokingham & Emmbrook went to Wallingford Town and won 3-0 with goals from Ellis Day, Josh Harris and the veteran of the Sumas goalscoring trio Elliott Rushforth.

There were eight goals at Woodley United where the Kestrels were decimated by illness, but bottom side Chinnor were no match for Jon Laugharne’s side who barely had to get off the sick bed.

Max Laschok hit a hat trick, there were two for Liam Wilson and Chace Jewell also got on the score sheet.

In the Combined Counties League Division One, Eversley & California suffered a 6-5 defeat to Deportivo Galicia despite leading 4-2 at half time.

Ross McKernan got a hat-trick for the Boars while Sam Knight and Will Shaw also scored.

Finally, Sandhurst Town were held to a 1-1 draw at Bottom Meadow, the Fizzers strike coming through Luke Burrows.
