Congratulations to Bracknell Town & District Sunday League sides Bearwood Wanderers and Loveman United who both won their respective County Cup Finals at Slough Town FC on Sunday.

A collection was made on the day that, combined with that made by Three Horseshoes, Loveman’s opponents, ahead of their Final, raised a combined total of almost £1000 for various charities, including SANDS, the charity supported by Loveman United.

Bearwood dominated their Final tie in the Berks & Bucks Sunday Junior Trophy, beating Jolly Sportsman 3-1. Taking a 3-0 lead through goals by Callum Wright (2) and Bradley Fuller, Sportsman scored a late consolation goal to cause Wanderers only minor concern. Football in Bracknell’s Man of the Match was Bearwood’s Jimmy Craske who didn’t put a foot wrong at left back.

Loveman’s final tie in the Berks & Bucks Junior Cup proved to be a much tighter affair, Loveman winning by 2-1 through goals by Les Sykes and Sam Holloway. Football in Bracknell’s Man of the Match was Loveman’s Tom McGuire, solid in central defence throughout.
