Congratulations to Loveman United who followed up their success in the County Junior Cup Final two weeks ago by clinching the Division 1 title on the final day of the Bracknell Sunday League season.

Starting the day in 2nd, one point behind leaders Berks County, Loveman need to win and duly obliged, despatching Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW by 6-1. Leading 3-1 at half time, though the half was generally evenly contested, through goals by Ben Poyner (2) and Tom McGuire, they came out strongly to seal the victory in the second half through further goals by Poynter, completing his hat-trick, Lee Blackman and Billy Bryce.

In the other game, AFC Crowthorne Stiffs defeated Bracknell Athletic 5-1 to finish 3rd, 3 points behind 2nd placed Berks County.

Woodley Saints prepared for their League Cup Final in 2 weeks time with a 5-2 win at 3M. Saints finish the season as runners-up 9 points behind Champions Sandhurst FFC.

Already crowned champions of Division 3, Bearwood Wanderers completed their campaign with a hard-fought 3-2 win against Bracknell Saint Germain. Elsewhere Winnersh Town finished with a 4-3 win against Running Horse.

The final of the Subsidiary Cup will be played between Crownwood Dukes and Moore Close Manor on Friday 24th May. Dukes won their semi-final by 4-2 against Silver Birch A whilst Moore Close, who will be favourites to lift the cup on account of their superior league status over Dukes, defeated FC Harmanswater 2-1. The final is to be played at Bracknell Town FC’s Larges Lane ground.
