Binfield continued their perfect start to the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division season with a 2-0 win at newly promoted Burnham on Tuesday night.

The scores were level at half time in a match that pitched a side yet to drop a point with one that was yet to pick one up.

The breakthrough came though on 72 minutes when Jamie McClurg fired home from the edge of the box and Joel Valentin made it safe in the 78th minute when he latched on to a mistake in the home sides defence.

Was going to highlight Binfield manager Roger Herridge’s tweet about his side being asked a lot of questions by a decent Burnham side, but food will always trump analysis..

Elsewhere Windsor got their first three points of the season in some style, beating Holmer Green 5-1 at Stag Meadow thanks to two goals from Jay O’Connell and one each from Andy Ingram, Adam Forder and Ben Smyth.

In the BetVictor Isthmian League, Bracknell Town bounced back from an opening day defeat to Chipstead by beating Uxbridge 2-0 at Larges Lane.

An injury to Shane Cooper-Clark saw Nathan Minhas start and it was his good work that saw Caden Genovesi fire home just after quarter of an hour gone.

Shortly after, Nicholas Bignall made it 2-0, firing home from the edge of the box. The Robins have some excellent goal gifs this season which are worth looking out, but Mark Scott’s clean sheet is our favourite right now.

Look out for Nick Calverts Robin’s report later on the Bracknell Town page here.

Thatcham Town earned a 1-1 draw at 10-man Moneyfields after Kyle Tooze equalised in the first half. The Kingfishers also missed a first half penalty that resulted in the red card for handball on the line.

In the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One East, our featured game saw Holyport come from behind three times at Chalvey Sports to draw 3-3.

Charlie Evans twice and Jamie Earis got the goals for the Stabmonks while Alan Akerman, Josh Lowther and Chris Defranco got the levellers for Port.

AFC Aldermaston earned their first three points of the season beating Abingdon Town 2-1 at the Rec Soc. Jahson Downes and Ryan Adams got the goals for the Atom Men.

Sam Guze struck for Woodley United in their game at Abingdon United but it wasn’t enough, a Henry Horton brace giving the home side a 2-1 win.

Finally, Langley are still searching for their first points of the season after a 5-0 defeat at home to Penn & Tylers Green.
