It was a weekend where most Thames Valley Premier League sides found themselves in cup action. There were a mixed bag of results for TVPL sides as they took on teams from other leagues.

There were still two league games though as Woodcote left Mortimer still searching for a first win of the season while Woodley United Royals picked up a point at home to Cookham Dean.

Thames Valley Premier League

Mortimer 0 Woodcote 3

Goals from Sam Tucker, Jermaine Gumbs and Jake Dillon saw Woodcote take all three points in the TVPL fixture at Alfred Palmer Memorial Ground on Saturday. Mortimer are still awaiting their first victory of the season.

Woodley United Royals 2 Cookham Dean 2

A late goal from Royals saw the points shared. Cookham Dean’s goalscorers were Jamie Hanscombe and Joseph Newman, with the home side’s goals scored by Dylan Chaffin and Luke Edmonds. A real mod-table clash between sides who would end the afternoon in 7th and 8th.

Berks & Bucks FA Senior Trophy

Finchampstead 2 Bracknell Town Reserves 4

Goals from Joel Day and the appropriately named substitute Ryan Finch weren’t enough for Finch who saw Bracknell rally late on to claim a place in the next round.

Faringdon Town 2 Newbury 7

Newbury made it four wins out of four in all competitions this season with an emphatic 7-2 victory at Faringdon, Carl Jenner with four, Dan Donegan with two and Jessi Bowers with another were enough to send Newbury into the next round.

Kintbury Rangers 2 Westwood Wanderers 3

A wonderful comeback from Wanderers who were 2-0 down at half-time to goals from Robbie Sadler and Russell Benham. Three second half goals saw Westwood take the tie by three goals to two.

Reading City U23 2 Didcot Town Development 3

A winner late into injury time saw Hellenic League Didctor move into the next round. Reading City U23s goals were scored by Bub Touray and Harry Peters.

Windlesham United 2 Langley 6

Six of the best from Hellenic League Langley at Windlesham. Conrad Joseph, Calvin Morgan with two and a hat-trick from Kamil Zieliński the goalscorers for the away side.

Richings Park 2 Berks County 2 (Richings Park win 4-3 on penalties)

Richings Park make it through to the next round after a penalty shootut victory over Berks County. The home sides goals were scored by John Swift and Tomas Kenton.
