On Saturday Holyport welcomed Didcot Town Development to Summerleaze Village in a game between two sides looking to be in contention for a top four spot come the end of the season.

Port took the lead midway through the first half when captain Chris De Franco volleyed in a Fabian Driffill corner from 6 yards out, and the home side doubled their advantage 5 minutes before the break when Steven Deverall scored from 12 yards out following a neat one-two with Andy Forisky.

Straight after the break Holyport achieved a level of comfort as Sam Whitefield scored to make it 3-0 and the scoring was completed on 69 minutes when Driffill calmly found the bottom corner from 15 yards out. The win saw Holyport leapfrog their opponents in the table.

Chalvey Sports climbed to 5th in the table with a win over Kidlington Development at Arbour Park. It took just 9 minutes for the Stabmonks to take the lead when a Joe Creighton shot was deflected into the top corner. 20 minutes later Cheyenne Cripps latched onto a Ryan Hazell pass to make it 2-0. Kidlington did not roll over but could only manage a late consolation goal meaning Chalvey recorded a 2-1 victory and went home with all 3 points.

Wokingham & Emmbrook travelled to Beaconsfield to face Penn & Tylers Green, looking to extend an undefeated run of 6 games. They faced an early set back as Penn took the lead on 10 minutes via the penalty spot and the score remained at 1-0 at the break.

Early in the second half the Sumas were level when Ellis Day won the ball out wide and sent in a cross for Jake White who took a touch before scoring in the corner. 15 minutes from time Daniel Carter brought the ball out of defence and played in White who outpaced the defence and smashed home his second goal. Wokingham saw out the game for a win that took them up to 7th in the table with games in had over those above them.

In the Combined Counties League Division One Sandhurst Town slipped out of the top 4 for the first time this season following a 2-2 draw with Bagshot at Bottom Meadow.

The Fizzers had taken the lead on 7 minutes when Paddy Gardner’s long-range effort skidded off the surface and into the bottom corner. Bagshot pegged Sandhurst back mid-way through the first half, and in the second half they took the lead with 20 minutes remaining in the game. 5 minutes from town Bradley Brown came to the rescue for Sandhurst, scoring from the spot after a handball, to leave the final scores level.

Eversley & California had an afternoon to forget as they lost 5-0 at home to Bedfont & Feltham. The Boars were 3-0 down at half time and the visitors added a fourth midway through the second half before completing the scoring in injury time. The result leaves Eversley at the bottom of the league table, 3 points behind Godalming Town in 19th.

Away from league action AFC Aldermaston made it through to the next round of the Bluefin Sports (UHL) Supplementary Cup with a 3-0 win over Taplow United. The Atom Men took the lead against the Thames Valley Premier League side 5 minutes before half time when Monay Chandler-Mills scored from the spot after Tyrese Corbin-Chandler was fouled.

Taplow stuck in the game but their resistance was finally broken 10 minutes from the end when Chandler-Mills set up Corbin-Chandler to score, before George Dallarda got a third 5 minutes later to send Aldermaston through.
