BetVictor Southern League Division One South side Thatcham Town romped in to the Second Qualifying Round of the 2019/20 FA Trophy with a 4-1 win at Swindon Supermarine.

The Kingfishers hit four goals in the opening 33 minutes to shock their higher division opponents with Kyle Tooze starting things off after just four minutes.

It took until the 22nd minutes for the lead to double, but when James Tennant scored he was quickly followed by Felipe Barcelos on 29 and Tooze again on 33.

The Kingfishers didn’t have it all their own way though, Supermarine pulled one back on 64 minutes and Callum Willmoth received a second yellow card on 89 minutes.

Dave Wright said he couldn’t recall a better team performance by a Binfield side than the 5-0 win over Windsor at Stag Meadow.

The Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division fixture was beset by problems early on when floodlight failure meant the game didn’t kick off untill 8.20pm.

When it did get going, Josh Howell wasted no time in scoring before the opening 60 seconds were up and Jack Thomson-Wheeler finished off arguably the move of the night after 34 minutes, the full back swapping one-two’s and firing past Nojus Trinovas.
