Crowthorne Inn go further clear in Bracknell Sunday League

Congratulations to both Braybrooke Athletic and Woodley Saints who made it through to the 4th round of the Berks & Bucks Sunday Junior Cup. The ties between Ashridge Park Royals and William Twigg as well as that between Sandhurst and Newbold fell foul of the weather and will be played next weekend. Commiserations to Crowthorne FC and AFC Dukes who both went out on penalties after their ties finished 3-3.

Crowthorne Inn extended their lead at the top of the Premier Division with a 6-1 win against Panthers. The other game played saw honours even between Raglan and Bracknell Rangers, finishing 1-1, Luc Dwelly the scorer for Rangers. Rangers stay 2nd. 5 points behind Crowthorne Inn. FC Fernhill, who made progress today in the Aldershot Cup, stay 3rd, 6 points behind Inn with 2 games in hand. The other fixture between Berks County and Morale Madrid was postponed.

Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW moved into 2nd place on Division 1 following their 6-2 win against bottom team Bracknell Athletic. Woodley United continued their recent good run of form with a 7-1 win against Winkfield with Harrison Wilks bagging a brace for United. That win moved Woodley into 4th place.

The top two in Division 2 both won, leaders Bearwood Wanderers beating Bracknell Corinthians 4-1 whilst 2nd placed Winnersh Rangers defeated Golden Farmer Rangers 3-2.

Four out of the 5 games in Division 3 were postponed whilst the other resulted in a walkover win for Winnersh Town against Ashridge Park. Winnersh Town move to within 3 points of leaders AFC Dukes but have played a game more.

Finchampstead Athletic A were the day’s biggest scorers with a 10-1 win against Bracknell Titans in Division 4. Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves stay top following their 7-3 win against Bracknell Spartans 3 points clear of 2nd placed Harts of Bracknell who beat Silver Birch A 1-0. Harts have played one game less than Cavaliers.
