It remains tight at the top of the Thames Valley League Premier Division as Westwood Wanderers and Berks County slug it out for supremecy.

Both sides are now level on games played after the Swords won at the weekend and Westwood didn’t play, but the latter lead the table by three points.

At the other end of the table, it was tight between bottom side Woodley United Royals and Woodcote, but defeat by the odd goal in five leaves the Kestrels adrift by four points.

Top scorers:

  • Ross Storrar (Westwood) 18
  • Jake Dillon (Woodcote) 15
  • Sean Hanley (Berks County 9
  • James Payne (Finchampstead) 9
  • Jake Wheeler (Maidenhead Town) 9

Maidenhead Town 3 Wraysbury Village 2

Maidenhead consolidated their position in third place with a narrow victory over Wraysbury Village. First half goals from Ryan Adams and Sam Adams (2) for Maidenhead Town and George Dewhurst and Krzystof Michal Zlocki for Wraysbury. The two teams clearly found the first half too exciting as the second half was goalless with the score ending 3-2 to the home side.

Woodcote 3 Woodley United Royals 2

A second 3-2 home victory of the weekend saw Woodcote win against Woodley. A late, late winner for Sam Green handed all the points to Woodcote who also had Pedro Monteiro and Jake Dillon on the score-sheet. Bottom of the table Royals’ goals were scored byt Chace Jewell and Nathan Lock.
