The weather put paid to a lot of Tuesday nights programme, but Slough Town’s Berks & Bucks County FA Senior Cup Quarter Final did beat the downpours and visitors MK Dons on the clubs artificial Arbour Park surface.

As defending champions, the Rebels entered the competition at the Quarter Final stage and faced an MK Dons side that, according to the Buckinghamshire clubs website, included just two players who weren’t on professional contracts with the Dons.

Slough – who included Aaron Kuhl in the starting line up – were 2-0 up after 24 minutes thanks to goals from Scott Davies and Ben Harris but a double from Dyllan Asonganyi either side of half time saw the game finish 2-2.

The match went straight to penalties with Slough emerging 3-2 winners on the night thanks to spot kicks from substitute Dan Roberts, goalkeeper Jack Turner and Davies. Turner also saved Hiram Boateng’s penalty in the shootout. Read the full Slough report here.
