It proved to be an afternoon packed with wonder goals at York Road on Saturday as Maidenhead United made it seven games unbeaten in the National League.

The Magpies finished the first 45 minutes on top after Josh Coley produced a brilliant piece of footwork before laying off Danilo Orsi who opened the scoring on the half hour mark.

One became two just moments into the second period as Shaun Donnellan netted his first goal in a Maidenhead shirt with a stunning volley which nestled the top corner.

Bromley started to pile on the pressure though and managed pulled one back just before the hour mark. Reeco Hackett-Fairchild, on loan from Portsmouth, let rip from distance which rocketed beyond Taye Ashby-Hammond and into the back of the net.

The Magpies were then dealt a sucker punch five minutes into stoppage time when another world class effort found the York Road net. This time, it was full-back Chris Bush who unleashed a shot from distance which found the top right corner to level proceedings for Bromley.

Maidenhead drop down to fifth as they look ahead to next weekend’s trip to Altrincham, aiming to maintain their impressive run.

Stalemate at St Albans for Hungerford Town

Hungerford Town were eyeing a return to the top of the table this weekend when they travelled to St Albans City in the National League South.

However, they were forced to share the points with the fourth placed side, drawing 0-0 at Clarence Park.

The Crusaders dominated proceedings as Danny Robinson named the same side that beat Slough Town on Tuesday night.

Craig Fasanmade proved to be a dangerman for the visitors, but his second half efforts were saved by Michael Johnson in the St Albans net.

Goal machine Ryan Seager almost netted the opener from inside his own half, but his speculative effort could only find the roof of the net.

James Rusby put in a Man of the Match performance for the Crusaders and his effortless display helped his side keep their fourth clean sheet of the season.

Slough Town taste another defeat

Slough Town dropped to 16th on Saturday as they fell to their fourth consecutive defeat away at Dartford, losing 2-0.

After a goalless first half, the hosts broke the deadlock seconds into the second period as Chris Dickson netted from close range to mark his debut with a goal.

The striker joined the Darts on a dual registration from Hornchurch just before the game and completed his brace on 51 minutes.

Slough were then given a glimmer of hope of a comeback in the final stages when Dartford were reduced to 10 men after Jacob Berkeley-Agyepong received his marching orders.

However, the hosts managed to hold on to clinch maximum points as they look ahead to Saturday’s trip to the Rebels’ Berkshire rivals Hungerford.

As for Slough, they travel to Chippenham Town on Tuesday in a rearranged fixture.
