The East Berkshire Football League is back up and running with fixtures across all four divisions at the weekend including our pictured fixture involving Pundit FC and AFC Winkfield Reserves in Division Two – round up below.

SB Phoenix moved to the top of the Premier Division after a 3-1 win against the previously unbeaten Singh Sabha on Saturday.

Phoenix produced a ruthless and hard-working display to beat Sabha who, admittedly, were lacklustre, with missed chances and sin bins contributing to the defeat.

KS Gryf suffered defeat to rivals Slough Heating Laurencians A in the Polish Club derby last weekend, but were quick to gain their revenge with a narrow 3-2 win this week.

The victory elevates Gryf back above Slough Heating in the table, with just four points separating the top six sides.

Division One leaders Iver Heath dropped points for the first time this season after being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Townmead. The visitors were gutted not to have taken all three points having gone ahead in the contest.

Stoke Poges Saints moved level on points with Iver following their narrow 1-0 success at Old Windsor Reserves thanks to a solo goal from Sam Manton.

Hambleden bagged their first three points of the season after winning 2-1 at bottom side Hounslow Wanderers. A second-half turnaround saw the visitors recover from falling behind to secure a big result in an even match.

There are currently four teams level on 12 points at the top of Division Two, with Eton Wick heading them up thanks to a superior goal difference (+13).

Eton were without a match last weekend but second-placed Barton Rovers kept the pressure on with a 3-1 win at Chalvey Sports A on Saturday.

Barton made it a quick-fire double with a 4-2 victory at second-bottom AFC Winkfield Reserves on Wednesday evening.

Chalvey have been busy since the re-start and previously drew 1-1 at home with FC Baylis United. The hosts missed chances to win the contest but equalised from the penalty spot and with the last kick of the game. Baylis described it as a tough match but a fair result.

AFC Cressex are also amongst the leading quartet after a 3-2 success over Phoenix Old Boys 4s, who remain rooted to the foot of the table.

Pundit PC are helping to set the pace thanks to an emphatic 5-1 win at Winkfield Reserves on Saturday. Pundit are yet to drop a point this season and only conceded three goals in their four league matches.

Division Three

There was nothing to separate the two top sides in the Development Division with leaders Chalfont St Peter Under 23s drawing 1-1 at home to Calcot Royals.

Pinewood Panthers gained their first point of the season after an entertaining 3-3 home draw against Sandhurst Town Under 23s.
