Four Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division North fixtures involving Football in Berkshire clubs on Saturday, it did not go so well!

Edgware Town were 3-0 winners at Holyport while Wokingham & Emmbrook suffered a 3-0 defeat at Wembley.

Tadley Calleva were beaten 3-0 at home by Hanworth Villa and Virginia Water were beaten 4-0 at Stag Meadow by North Greenford United.

Those results mean it’s a FiB bottom four with Holyport in 15th, Virginia Water 16th, Tadley 17th and Wokingham & Emmbrook 18th after five matches.

The outlook is better in Division One with Chalvey Sports, Wallingford Town, Sandhurst Town, Woodley United and Eversley & California all registering wins.

The latter was an impressive result for the Boars as Eversley beat second-placed Rayners Lane 3-2 at Fox Lane, Jack Kittelsen scoring an 89th-minute winner after Joe Pantony had levelled the scores at 1-1 on 40 minutes and Ben Catt’s goal was levelled by the visitors on 72 minutes.

Woodley also earned a late win, Kaine Larkins, an injury-time sub got the winner in a 3-2 win over Berks County at The Rivermoor.

Tahir Carmichael and Caleb Lucas also among the goals for the Kestrels. County’s scorers have yet to be posted.

Wallingford’s unbeaten start to the season continued with a 6-2 win at Hithercroft over British Airways. Charlie Silkstone bagged a hat-trick and there were goals each for Ricardo Benjamin, Ty Hamilton and Jack McLaughlin while Lawrence Aitchison was sent off for the home side.

Chalvey’s 2-1 win at London Samurai Rovers came courtesy of goals from Nicholas Baker and an 89th-minute strike by Calvin Morgan and Sandhurst Town won 3-0 at home to AFC Hayes with goals from Asher Goosen, Alex Penny and Oliver Pritchard.

AFC Aldermaston were in action but were beaten 4-0 at Bedfont & Feltham and Langley lost 4-1 at London Lions.

Ascot United were in FA Cup action – there were no games for either Reading City or Windsor.
