Burghfield 7 Woodley United Royals 0

After two games played Burghfield are now two points clear at the top of the Thames Valley Premier League. They have won both of their games while their opponents on Saturday, Woodley, have lost both of theirs. Braces from Teoman Atik and James McClellan and goals from Lewis Butcher, Adam Telford and Thomas McClellan handed Burghfield all three points.

Finchampstead 4 Marlow United 2

An impressive win for reigning champions Finch on Saturday against a tough Marlow United team. A hat-trick for Joel Day and a solitary strike for Callum Vance were enough to earn the points for the home side. United, who had led for much of the game, had goals scored by Abdel El Jalaoui and George Goode.

Yateley United 2 Wargrave 4

Yateley played their first league fixture at Sean Devereux Park in three years on Saturday against newly promoted Wargrave. In what many people may regard as a shock the away team came away with a victory.

Maidenhead Town 1 Richings Park 1

It ended all square at Bisham Abbey on Saturday. Both sides remain unbeaten on four points in these early days of the season. John Swift scored again for Maidenhead while Liam Burgun was the goalscorer for Richings Park.

Mortimer 0 Reading City U23 7

It was a day to forget for the Villagers who lost by seven goals to nil. It doesn’t get any easier for Mortimer who travel to local rivals Burghfield next Saturday still searching for their first win of the season.

Windlesham & Chobham 1 Westwood Wanderers 2

Wanderers made the trip to Chobham in Surrey on Saturday where they emerged as victors. It was Westwood’s first points of the season while Windlesham & Chobham have now lost both of their opening two league fixtures.

Wraysbury 1 Reading YMCA 1

Reading YMCA played their first league fixture back in the Thames Valley Premier League at Wraysbury’s new home of Wheatsheaf Park (Staines Town). YMCA’s goal was scored by the prolific Ryan Adams with Alfie Fairhall netting for the home side.
