Ascot United manager Neil Richards has suffered a blow with the news that his captain and goalkeeper have both left the club.

Goalkeeper Carl Dennison has moved to Evo Stik Southern League Division 1 side Chalfont St Peter after making 32 appearances for the Yellamen.

Dennison joined the club in the summer from Windsor with Royalists boss Mick Woodham saying at the time: “We can’t offer the sort of money Ascot have, we don’t offer any money just waffles and beans, and he got sick of it.”

For Richards first game in charge, former United goalkeeper Matt Hill took the number 1 jersey after returning from Henley Town where he played 20 games this season.
