Woodley United have confirmed on twitter that top scorer Charlie Oakley and ‘dancing’ Josh Drew will both return to the Kestrels for their maiden Uhlsport Hellenic Premier Division campaign.
Oakley hit 23 league goals for Michael Herbert’s side and Drew – when not disappearing at half time to attend a Justin Bieber concert – hit nine while both featured in all but three of United’s league games.
Woodley clinched promotion by virtue of finishing runners up in Division 1 East and in addition, Drew scored the winner as Woodley United won their first piece of silverware – the Berks & Bucks County Intermediate Trophy since merging with Woodley Town and Woodley Saints.
Josh had a great season last year and has worked really hard pre season getting himself fit. I'm expecting a big season from josh

Boss Herbert will undoubtedly be delighted about securing two of his main goal threats for a Premier Division campaign he acknowledged in a recent FiB interview will be a real test for the club.
He said: “Both Wokingham & Emmbrook and Henley Town were relegated straight back down so we know how difficult it will be. We will be favourites to finish bottom but we enjoy that. We are excited by the challenge.”

There will undoubtedly be additions to the Woodley squad in the next few weeks not least with the extra eight games and midweek fixtures that come as part and parcel of life at step five.
