Bracknell Town full back George Lock has announced his departure from Larges Lane after 15 years with the club.
Predominantly a right back, Lock broke through in to the Robins first team during the 2015/16 season under then manager Keith Pennicott-Bowen playing 32 of the Robins 38 league games and making 42 appearances overall.
Lock came all the way through the junior ranks at Larges Lane and was part of the youth team under Paul Howe that won the Allied Counties Youth League South Division in 2015. He quickly became a crowd favourite for the first team the following season after making his debut against Binfield in April 2015.
Lock’s tweet read: “After 15 years it’s time to day goodbye. Thank you for everything Bracknell Town FC.”

The youngsters appearances were limited in 2016/17 due to the superb form of summer arrival Dave Hancock at right back and took advantage of a loan spell with neighbours Binfield – making 11 appearances and scoring twice for the Moles before returning to Bracknell and playing playing predominantly for the development team.
Bracknell Town captain Carl Davies said on twitter: “All the best Locko, it’s been a pleasure to watch you progress! Top lad with an attitude to match. Don’t be a stranger.”

Lock’s message didn’t reveal his destination but we’d expect a further announcement to follow.
