Bracknell Town have enjoyed some excellent form of late, following up 7-0, 7-0 and 8-0 victories with a superb 2-1 win at Hungerford Town this week. With a settled team in place Phil John, Liam Ferdinand and Carl Garstang have departed the club.
Phil John has signed for Hellenic League Premier leaders Highworth Town as they look to cement their lead at the top of the table. Midfielder John played for Bracknell Town ten times this season, scoring a solitary goal in the team’s 3-2 victory over Flackwell Heath in September.
Centre-forward Liam Ferdinand has also left Bracknell Town, signing for Thatcham Town where he will link up with another former Bracknell Town striker – Shane Cooper-Clark. Ferdinand played nine games for the Robins this season and netted on four occasions.
Carl Garstang is the final Bracknell player who has moved on. He has signed for Burnham who are currently in 17th place in the Hellenic League Premier division. Garstang played seven times for Bracknell this season but will perhaps be best remembered for his spectacular over-head kick goal against Buckingham Athletic in the FA Vase.
Binfield are another local club who have been busy this week signing former Didcot Town, Winchester City and Woking player Riccardo Andrady and ex-Flackwell Heath and Beaconsfield SYCOB striker Nathan Minhas.
