Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Reading City have added FA Vase winner Thomas Moran to their defensive line up, the club confirmed.

Announced on twitter on Tuesday morning, now ex-Thatcham Town defender Moran joins the Scours Lane side with the blues sitting top of the Premier Division table following Monday night’s 4-0 win over Abingdon United.

City recently announced the signing of versatile defender Damien Smith from Bracknell Town and have already scored nine goals this season, conceding just once.

Moran originally signed for Thatcham from Slough Town in July 2015 and became a key member of the 2017/18 side that won the Hellenic League and the Vase at Wembley Stadium.

Defender Moran played 41 times for Thatcham last season and 43 times during the 2015/16 season.

Thatcham recently announced that Bracknell Town defender Scott Rees had switched to West Berkshire while midfielder Harrison Bayley confirmed he wouldn’t be returning to Waterside Park.
