Bracknell Town loan midfielder James Cowan has left the club says manager Geoff Warner.

Cowan, who was on loan at Bracknell from EFL League One side Oxford United, has signed for Evo Stik Southern League Premier South Division side Gosport Borough.

Speaking to Football in Bracknell, Warner said the midfielder had left Oxford and moved back to live in Portsmouth and was commuting to Berkshire to play.

Warner said: “James did well for us, unfortunately since we switched from four in midfield to three at the back he was the one who was left out. As a youngster he needs to be playing every week. Hopefully he will at Gosport.”

Borough are 18th in the division – one level higher than Bracknell – and are battling against relegation with Tiverton Town, Basingstoke Town, Dorchester Town and Frome Town.
