Simon Dunn wasn’t the only Slough Town departure on Tuesday as three more popular Rebels confirmed their departures from Arbour Park.

Striker Manny Williams, defender George Wells, as well as midfielder and distance goalscoring specialist Scott Davies all confirmed their own departures after Dunn had himself earlier in the day.

All three spoke highly on social media of their time under the management of Neil Baker and Jon Underwood at the Vanarama National League side where, according to the Slough Town website, all three amassed a total of 335 appearances and 35 goals between them.

Both Williams and Davies depart in search of more regular football while 23-year-old Wells leaves to find an opportunity to play at a higher level.

It wasn’t all bad news for Rebels fans though, the club were able to confirm a big chunk of the squad that pushed all the way for the end of season play-offs would return for the 2020/21 season including: Jack Turner, Sean Fraser, Josh Jackman, Guy Hollis, Ryan Bird, Sam Togwell, Lee Togwell, Matt Lench, Warren Harris, Max Worsfold, Paul Hodges, Ben Harris and Dan Roberts.

In an update on the club website, Baker and Underwood said: “As mentioned previously, we will be adding to this group; we have a number of players on our radar, and have started talking to several of these already. However, with the season over two months away, we will not rush into anything as it’s vital that we get the right players to complement and improve the strong core we have in place already.”
