Vanarama National League South side Slough Town have begun the recruitment process ahead of the 2020/21 season with the addition of an attacking midfielder from Eastleigh.

Jack McKnight is the new man in at Arbour Park , the 23-year-old impressed Rebels managers Jon Underwood and Neil Baker during a match with his previous club Basingstoke Town.

McKnight himself said he was ‘buzzin’ to join the Rebels: “Buzzin to have signed for Slough Town. Big season ahead.

Eastleigh, who recently added former Hungerford Town captain Joe Tomlinson to their squad, have been a National League Premier side for six seasons and were 16th at the time of the leagues early finish in 2019/20.

According to Slough’s website, McKnight’s season was hampered by injury but in 2018/19 he made 34 starts and featured in the National League play-off semi final defeat against Salford City.

The Rebels recently said goodbye to several crowd favourites in Scott Davies and Manny Williams but have retained the core of the squad that challenged for promotion.
