Cherry Red Records Combined Counties League Premier Division side Ascot United have confirmed the return of Sam Gray and a trio of goalkeepers to the Racecourse Ground.

Gray played his first full season for the Yellamen in 2019/20 after taking over from Lee Allen the previous season and made 42 appearances for Jamie Tompkins side who topped the table at the curtailment of the season.

Among the other goalkeepers on the clubs books, youngster Sam Hayes – the youngest ‘keeper to ever play for the first team, Jake Taylor and Alex Sykes – a former England Futsal goalkeeper, have all re-signed for the new season.

Both Hayes and Taylor made an appearance each for the first team, the former making another 11 appearances for the Allied Counties Youth League side.

On Saturday, the Yellamen were beaten 2-1 by Southern League Basingstoke Town in a pre-season friendly at the Racecourse Ground.
