Ascot United forward Aiden Higgs has joined Flackwell Heath, the Buckinghamshire club have announced.

Higgs spent two seasons with the Cherry Red Records Combined Counties Premier Division side scoring 20 goals in 43 games during the two interrupted campaigns.

The forward originally joined the Yellamen in October 2019, moving across from Burnham where he’d played nine and scored three during 2019/20.

Higgs was confirmed as a Heathens player on Tuesday night and will be part of the club’s squad that will play in the Spartan South Midlands Premier Division after transferring from the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

Ascot’s pre-season continues on Saturday with the visit of Fleet Town to the Racecourse Ground. The sides have met in some entertaining cup fixtures over the last two seasons including an FA Vase double in 2019/20 when a 3-3 at the Racecourse was followed by a 3-1 Ascot win at Fleet in the replay.
