Bracknell Town Ladies head to Milton Keynes City this afternoon knowing two points from their final three games will be enough to confirm another season of Southern Region Premier Women’s football.
After a slow start, a change of formation by manager Sean Haynes has reaped dividends and the ladies are five games unbeaten in all competitions including an impressive 7-1 win over Mansfield Park last weekend when Leah Flisik scored a hat-trick.
Woodley
Two points below Bracknell but with just one game left, Woodley’s position is slightly more precarious – particularly with their final game against title-chasing Oxford City next weekend.
Thames Valley League
The Premier Division title race is wide open with Maidenhead United, Wargrave, Barton Rovers and Carterton all capable of taking the title.
Nothing will be decided this afternoon with the three Berkshire sides all in action at bottom half clubs but Maidenhead face ties against Wargrave and Barton in the next couple of weeks.
It’s a lot more settled in Division 1 South, Tilehurst Panthers are the deserved champions while Laurel Park are also promoted with two games remaining.
Third place is still up for grabs though with Bracknell Town Reserves – previously favourites for the position – one of four sides in contention on 21 points.
